Salesforce to Stack
Transitioning from Salesforce to Stack can enhance your business processes, customer engagement, and marketing efforts. This guide will walk you through each step to ensure a smooth migration.
Preparation for Migration

Section titled “Step 1: Review Current Salesforce Setup”- Identify Key Assets: Catalog all essential elements like leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and automation workflows currently in use.
- Assess Data Volume: Evaluate the size and complexity of the data to be migrated, including records, custom fields, and automation rules.
Step 2: Define Migration Objectives
Section titled “Step 2: Define Migration Objectives”- Set Clear Goals: Determine the primary reasons for migrating to Stack, such as cost efficiency or enhanced automation.
- Prioritize Features: Focus on CRM data, key opportunities, and essential automation workflows.
Step 3: Prepare Backup
Section titled “Step 3: Prepare Backup”- Export Data from Salesforce: Export all relevant data (contacts, accounts, leads, opportunities, etc.) as CSV or Excel files.
- Backup Documentation: Securely store all exported files and related documentation to ensure data safety.
Export & Migrate Data

Section titled “Step 1: Export Data from Salesforce”- Export Contacts: Use the export function in Salesforce to download all contacts as CSV or Excel files, including all necessary fields.
- Export Accounts and Opportunities: Export all records from the Accounts and Opportunities tabs, ensuring all details are included.
- Export Leads: Export all active and closed leads, ensuring proper mapping of lead fields and statuses.
Step 2: Import Data into Stack
Section titled “Step 2: Import Data into Stack”- Import Contacts: Go to
Contacts > Import Contactsin Stack and upload the CSV files. Ensure fields are mapped correctly. - Import Accounts and Opportunities: Recreate your account structure in Stack by importing accounts and linking them with corresponding contacts and opportunities.
- Import Leads: Maintain the integrity of lead statuses and related data during the import process.
Rebuild Opportunities, Websites, and Automations
Section titled “Rebuild Opportunities, Websites, and Automations”Step 1: Recreate Opportunities in Stack
Section titled “Step 1: Recreate Opportunities in Stack”- Set Up Pipelines: Create sales pipelines in Stack that reflect the stages used in Salesforce.
- Transfer Opportunities: Assign opportunities to the appropriate stages within the new Stack pipelines.
Step 2: Recreate Landing Pages in Stack
Section titled “Step 2: Recreate Landing Pages in Stack”- Set Up Websites: Rebuild Salesforce websites by navigating to
Sites > Websites or Funnelsin Stack. Recreate landing pages and funnel steps. - Set up E-commerce: Create products in Stack by navigating to
Sites > StoresandPayments > Products.
Step 3: Recreate Automations in Stack
Section titled “Step 3: Recreate Automations in Stack”- Set Up Automation Workflows: Rebuild automation workflows by navigating to
Automations > Workflowsin Stack. - Integrate Communication Channels: Ensure email and SMS automation are correctly set up to maintain engagement.
Document, Contract, and Form Management

Section titled “Step 1: Transfer Document Templates”- Export Templates from Salesforce: Download existing document or contract templates.
- Import and Rebuild in Stack: Recreate these templates in Stack by navigating to Documents and using the editor.
Step 2: Set Up E-signature and Document Tracking
