Add to Notes action

The Add to Notes action in Stack allows you to seamlessly insert specific notes directly into a contact’s record. This feature is invaluable for keeping track of important details about a contact or any custom information that might be relevant for future interactions.

Add to Notes

This action enables you to add custom notes to a contact’s record. These notes can include information such as specific requests, follow-up actions, or personal details shared by the contact. You can also enhance your notes with custom values using the custom value picker. Once added, these notes will appear in the contact details under the Notes field.

  1. Choose the Action Type:

    • Select Add to Notes from the list of available actions.
  2. Name Your Action:

    • Enter a descriptive name for the action, such as Add Notes.
  3. Add the Note:

    • Type the note you wish to add to the contact in the text editor.
  4. Custom Values:

    • Use custom values with the custom value picker to personalize your notes.
  5. Trigger Links:

    • Add trigger links in the notes using the Trigger Links icon for dynamic content.

Example: Add a Note When a Customer Books an Appointment

A business wants to automatically add a note with contact and appointment details whenever an appointment is booked.

  • Trigger: Appointment Booked
  • Action: Add to Notes
  • Fields: Text Editor
  • Appointment Booked: The contact will enter the workflow upon booking an appointment.
  • Add to Notes: Use the text editor to add details, leveraging the custom value picker for dynamic content.
  • Send Internal Notification: Notify the team internally to ensure everyone is up-to-date.

This setup ensures that the note is added and visible under the Notes section for each contact, providing a comprehensive view of all interactions and details.
