How to add Payment Plans to your Invoices?

With Stack, you can easily manage your invoices by splitting them into convenient payment plan installments. This feature allows you to set up payments based on either a percentage or a fixed amount, providing flexibility for you and your clients.

Key Features of Payment Plans

Flexible Installments: Choose to split payments by percentage or a specific amount.
Due Dates and Notifications: Each installment comes with its own due date and payment status. You’ll receive reminders on the due date if the payment hasn’t been made yet.
Predefined Payments: Payments can only be made according to the predefined splits. Clients can pay one or more installments at once.
Invoice Completion: An invoice is marked as paid once all installments are settled.
Automated Payments: Enable auto-payments to automatically charge subsequent payments on their scheduled dates.

How to Set Up a Payment Plan

Add a Payment Schedule: When creating an invoice, click on “Add Payment Schedule”.
Define Payment Terms: Set up the terms using either a percentage or a fixed amount.
Send the Invoice: Once configured, send the invoice to your client.
Client Interaction: Clients will receive the invoice with the payment plan details and can choose to pay according to the schedule or add additional payments by selecting the relevant options.

Enabling Auto-Payments for Invoices

To streamline the payment process, you can enable auto-payments for invoices with a payment plan:

Activate Auto-Payments: When sending the invoice, click on “Send” and enable auto-payments by toggling the blue switch in the modal.
Payment Methods: Use the card saved from the first payment, any saved cards, or a new card to process payments.
Track Transactions: View details of auto-paid invoices in the transactions section to keep track of payments.
