How to add customer login in Ecommerce stores to view order details and past orders?
Overview
Section titled “Overview”As a store owner using Stack, you can empower your customers by allowing them to view their current and past order details. Customers will receive an order confirmation email containing a button that directs them to the Customer Access Center, where they can log in using OTP (One-Time Password) verification.
Getting Started
Section titled “Getting Started”Enable Order Confirmation Email
Section titled “Enable Order Confirmation Email”To provide your customers with access to the Customer Access Center, ensure that the order confirmation email is enabled. This email will guide them to view their order details. You can enable this feature by navigating to:
- Payments > Settings > Notifications > Order Confirmation Email for Stores
Accessing the Customer Access Center
Section titled “Accessing the Customer Access Center”Customers can easily access their order details by following these steps:
- Order Confirmation Email: Once an order is placed, customers will receive an email with a “View Order” button.
- Login Process: By clicking the “View Order” button, customers will be prompted to log in using the email address they provided during checkout. This login will allow them to view all current order details.
Fulfillment Status Details
Section titled “Fulfillment Status Details”Customers will be able to see the order’s fulfillment status, whether it’s partial or complete. The details provided will include:
- Tracking Number
- Tracking URL
- Carrier Name
Viewing Past Orders
Section titled “Viewing Past Orders”To view past orders, customers can click the “Orders” button in the navigation menu once logged in.
Access via Unique URL
Section titled “Access via Unique URL”Customers can also access the Customer Access Center directly through a unique URL:
<storeurl>/store/account/orders
For example:myawesomestore.com/store/account/orders
Important Note: Ensure your domain is properly connected for the Customer Access Center to function. The default path for the domain should point to any page within the store.
Additional Information
Section titled “Additional Information”- If multiple contacts share the same email address, the system will use the first created contact for logging into the Customer Access Center.
- With sticky contact enabled, all orders will be consolidated for that browser session.
By following these steps, you can provide a seamless experience for your customers, allowing them to manage and review their orders effortlessly.
