How to migrate Shopify stores to Stack (including products, collections, orders, contacts, and transactions)?

Overview

As a Shopify store owner, you can now easily transfer and synchronize your store’s products and collections with Stack. This feature allows you to migrate your entire Shopify store, including products, collections, contacts, orders, and transactions, into Stack. Additionally, you can utilize Stack’s marketing tools, such as the Order Submitted Trigger and Payment Received Trigger, to enhance your store’s automation.

Previously, the Shopify integration allowed syncing of orders, contacts, and transactions. Now, with the latest update, you can also seamlessly migrate and sync all your products and collections.

Accessing the Integration

To get started with the Shopify integration, navigate to:

• Settings > Integration > Shopify within your Stack account.

Connecting Your Shopify Store

1. Start the Connection:
   • Click on the “Connect” button to initiate the setup process.
   • A modal will appear prompting you to enter your Admin API access token and a valid Shopify store URL.

Selecting Data to Import

2. Choose Data for Import:
   • Proceed to the Import Elements screen.
   • Select the data you wish to import from your Shopify store. Options include:
     • Contacts
     • Orders
     • Transactions
     • Products
     • Collections

Configuring Sync Settings

3. Set Up Sync Preferences:
   • Move on to the Sync Settings screen.
   • Decide which data you want to continuously sync from Shopify to Stack. Options include:
     • Contacts
     • Orders
     • Transactions
     • Order Submitted Trigger
     • Payment Received Trigger
     • Products
     • Collections

Completing the Setup

• After selecting the desired elements for import and sync, click Save. Please note that the import and sync process may take some time to complete.

Managing Your Settings

• Once your Shopify integration is connected, you can enable or disable the elements you wish to sync for future orders from your Shopify store.

Reimporting Data

• If you need to reimport data, simply disconnect and reconnect the integration. This will allow you to reimport any data you may have missed during the initial import.

Important Notes

• Taxes are not mapped when importing or syncing products.
• For each order, only one transaction is created in Stack.
• Order statuses are marked as “Completed” or “Cancelled” when synced with Shopify.
• Merged contacts in Shopify will update the primary contact in Stack.
• If there are no changes to the SEO details in Shopify (default SEO settings), the data will be received as null in Stack.
