Split Window Mode

When using an iPad or tablet, the POS interface is divided into two sections: the Console on the left and Checkout on the right. This layout enhances efficiency by allowing you to keep track of items added to the checkout without needing to switch screens.

Landscape or Portrait Mode

The POS supports both horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) orientations. Choose the mode that best suits your device setup and payment hardware preferences for a seamless experience.

How It Works

1. Install the App: Ensure you have the Stack mobile app installed on your iPad or Android tablet.
2. Access the POS: Open the app and tap the $ icon located on the bottom bar to navigate to the POS screen.
3. Explore the New View: You’ll see a new layout with the item Console (keypad and catalog) on the left and Checkout on the right.
4. Add Items: Use the keypad for custom items or select from your saved catalog on the left side of the screen.
5. Link Contacts: On the right, link the contact of the individual or entity making the payment.
6. Review and Adjust: Check item details on the right. You can apply a discount by tapping the “Discount” button.
7. Complete the Transaction: Once everything is set, tap the charge button to select your preferred payment method, optionally accept a tip, and finalize the transaction.
