Add Contact Tag action

The Add Contact Tag action in Stack is a powerful tool for organizing and categorizing your contacts. By applying specific tags, you can streamline your contact management and automate various processes. Tags play a vital role in maintaining structured contact records and enabling automation within your workflows.

Add Contact Tag

The Add Contact Tag action allows you to automatically apply one or more tags to a contact’s record. You also have the flexibility to create new tags directly within this action.

  1. Choose the Action Type:

    • Select Add Contact Tag from the list of available actions.
  2. Name Your Action:

    • Enter a descriptive name for the action, such as Tag Added.
  3. Select Tags:

    • Choose one or multiple tags that you want to add to the contact.
  4. Delete Tags:

    • Click on the “x” icon to remove any selected tags from the list.
  5. Add New Tag:

    • If the desired tag is not available, type the new tag name and click on the Add New Tag button to include it.

Imagine a business wants to tag customers who have shown interest by replying to a Facebook post. The goal is to add a “Facebook” tag to these users to facilitate a targeted marketing campaign in the future.

  • Action: Add Contact Tag
  • Name: Tag is added
  • Fields: Select the “Facebook” tag from the list
  • Facebook - Comments On A Post: The contact enters the workflow when they comment on a specific Facebook post.
  • Add Tag: Automatically applies the “Facebook” tag to the contact.
  • Facebook Interactive Messenger: Initiates a conversation with the customer via Facebook DM.

This setup ensures that the “Facebook” tag is added to the contact, helping you categorize and engage with your audience effectively based on their interactions.
