Shipping: How to Connect a Shippo Integration?

Integrating Shippo with your Stack account allows you to manage your shipping needs efficiently. Follow these steps to set up your Shippo integration.

Step 1: Create a Live Token in Shippo

To start, you’ll need a live token from Shippo. Here’s how to get it:

1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced > API > Live Token in your Shippo account.
2. Click on Generate Live Token.
3. Copy the generated live token for later use.

Step 2: Set Up Package Templates and Shipping Options in Shippo

Package Template

1. Go to Settings > Shipping > Packages > Add New Template in Shippo.
2. You can either add custom dimensions or choose from standard carrier-provided parcel dimensions.
3. If you select a standard carrier parcel, ensure you set the package weights. To make this template your default, check the appropriate box.

Shipping Origin

1. Access Settings > Address Book > Sender & Return > Add New Address.
2. Add your complete address and select it as the default sender and return address if necessary.

Shipping Options

1. Navigate to Settings > Shipping > Rates at Checkout > Add Shipping Option.
2. Choose the Live Rate option and select your preferred carrier services.
3. You can apply a markup fee on delivery charges, either as a percentage or a fixed amount. Additionally, set a fallback delivery fee if live rates are unavailable.
4. The live rates will display under the name specified in the Shipping Options.

Step 3: Set Up Shipping Origin in Your Ecommerce Store

1. In your ecommerce store, go to Payments > Settings > Shipping Origin.
2. Enter the details of your shipping origin, which will be used as the sender’s address when creating orders in Shippo.
3. Ensure the address is valid to avoid errors when purchasing shipping labels.

Step 4: Install the Shippo App from the Marketplace

1. Visit the Marketplace or Integrations page in your Stack account settings.
2. Search for Shippo and install the application.
3. Once installed, add the live token you copied earlier.

Step 5: Enter the Shippo Live Token

1. Enter the live token generated in Step 1.
2. Enable live rates in shipping after setting up the package template, shipping origin, and shipping options in Shippo.
3. If any setup is incomplete, an error message will appear.

Step 6: Enable or Disable Live Shipping Rates

1. You can enable or disable shipping rates by checking or unchecking the corresponding box.
2. After making changes, click Save.
