How To Create A Custom Dashboard
Effortlessly customize your reporting experience by creating and managing multiple dashboards in Stack. Organize your data visualization by grouping related widgets into a unified view, tailored to your unique needs and insights.
Custom Widgets and Reports:
- One Custom Dashboard: Available on the $297 plan
- Unlimited Custom Dashboards: Available on the $497 plan
Access the Dashboard Area
Section titled “Access the Dashboard Area”Navigate to the Dashboard section within your Stack account.
Add a New Dashboard
Section titled “Add a New Dashboard”- Click the Dashboard Selection Menu.
- In the dropdown, click the “+ Add Dashboard” button.
Note: If you don’t see this button, ensure you’re in dashboard view mode.
Enter a Dashboard Name
Section titled “Enter a Dashboard Name”Type a name into the Dashboard Name field.
Set Dashboard Permissions
Section titled “Set Dashboard Permissions”Use the Private Dashboard toggle to control visibility:
- ON: Make it private.
- OFF: Allow team access.
Note: If this toggle is missing, ensure you’re on the “New Dashboard” page.
Confirm and Create the Dashboard
Section titled “Confirm and Create the Dashboard”Click the “Confirm” button to finalize creation. Your new blank dashboard will open.
Choose How to Add Widgets
Section titled “Choose How to Add Widgets”Once the dashboard is created, you’ll arrive at the Quick Start Widgets page. Choose one of the following options:
Option A: Use Suggested Widgets
Section titled “Option A: Use Suggested Widgets”- Use the “What is your goal?” or “Top used widgets” quick start options to select popular widgets.
- Click “Confirm & Add” to quickly insert top-used widgets.
- Continue to Save Dashboard Edits.
Option B: Manually Add a Widget
Section titled “Option B: Manually Add a Widget”- Click “+ Add a widget manually” to open the Add New Widget panel.
- Proceed to Configure a New Widget.
Option C: Add a Widget in Edit Mode
Section titled “Option C: Add a Widget in Edit Mode”- Click the Edit button (pencil icon) and then click “+ Add Widget” from edit mode.
Note: If you don’t see this button, ensure you have entered edit mode.
- Proceed to Configure a New Widget.
Configure a New Widget
Section titled “Configure a New Widget”Use the Add New Widget panel to define your widget settings. For detailed instructions, see the article on Account Dashboard Page - Widgets Add or Edit.
Save the Widget
Section titled “Save the Widget”Click the “Save” button within the widget panel.
Save Dashboard Edits
Section titled “Save Dashboard Edits”Click the “✓ Save Changes” button to save your layout and exit edit mode.
