How to Configure Shipping & Delivery Rates In Ecommerce Stores
Overview
Section titled “Overview”As a store owner using Stack, you have the flexibility to define delivery charges based on various criteria such as shipping zones, order amounts, and product weights. This guide will walk you through setting up shipping and delivery rates to optimize your e-commerce operations.
Setting Up Shipping Zones and Rates
Section titled “Setting Up Shipping Zones and Rates”Creating Shipping Zones
Section titled “Creating Shipping Zones”Shipping zones allow you to specify delivery charges based on geographic areas. You can create a zone by selecting countries and then define manual rates within that zone.
- Navigate to Payments > Settings > Shipping & Delivery.
- Click on Add Zone to create a new shipping zone.
- Select the countries you want to include in this zone.
Defining Rates for Zones
Section titled “Defining Rates for Zones”Once your zones are set up, you can define multiple pricing options for each zone:
- Conditional Pricing by Order Amount: Set rates based on the total amount in the cart. For example, offer free shipping for orders over $500, or charge $10 for orders below $500.
To add rates:
- Go to the specific zone.
- Click Add Rates and define your pricing conditions.
Setting Up Delivery Rates Based on Weight
Section titled “Setting Up Delivery Rates Based on Weight”If you need to charge differently based on product weight, Stack makes it easy:
- Navigate to Payments > Settings > Shipping & Delivery.
- Select Add Zones, then Add Rate.
- Define your rates based on weight ranges. For example, offer free shipping for products weighing 0-10 kg, or charge $10 for weights below 10 kg.
Notes on Weight-Based Pricing
Section titled “Notes on Weight-Based Pricing”- You can create differential pricing for various weight ranges within a zone.
Configuring Rates for Specific States or Provinces
Section titled “Configuring Rates for Specific States or Provinces”For more granular control, you can define shipping and delivery charges for specific states or provinces within a country:
- Go to Payments > Settings > Shipping & Delivery.
- Click on Add Zones and choose specific states or provinces.
- Set conditional pricing based on the order amount for these specific areas.
Important Considerations
Section titled “Important Considerations”- Each state or province can only be added to one zone.
- Ensure your rates reflect the specific needs of your target regions.
