How to Use the Manual Payment Method in Your Ecommerce Store

With Stack, you can offer your customers the flexibility of manual payments for their orders. This means they can choose to pay you directly at the time of pickup or delivery using a payment method of their choice.

Setting Up Manual Payment Methods

To get started with manual payment methods in your Stack store, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Payment > Integrations > Manual Payment Methods in your Stack account.
2. Choose from the available options:
   • Cash on Delivery
   • Custom Payment Method: Create a method that suits your needs.
3. During setup, you can add optional Payment Instructions and Messages to guide your customers.
4. Enable the manual payment methods for either Order Forms or E-commerce Stores. These options will be visible at checkout only if enabled.
5. Click Save to apply your changes.

Collecting Payments for Manual Orders

Once an order is placed using a manual payment method, you can record the payment as follows:

1. Go to Payment > Orders.
2. Select the relevant order and click on the “Collect Payment” button.
3. Choose the Payment Mode from the dropdown menu and, if needed, add any Notes.
4. Once the payment is marked as collected, the transaction status will update, including the payment mode used.

Important Notes

• Ensure that a payment integration is connected before setting up a manual payment method.
• Manual payment methods will not be available at checkout for orders containing recurring products.
• The manual payment process is irreversible once marked as paid.
• Both Cash on Delivery and a Custom Payment Method can be set up simultaneously.
