How to redirect a user to a specific page after signing a contract?

Redirecting users to a specific page after they’ve signed a document or completed a payment can enhance their experience with a seamless transition. Whether you want to thank them, guide them to a scheduling page, or offer additional services, Stack makes it simple.

Redirecting Users Globally

Enable Global Custom URL Redirection

1. Navigate to Documents & Contracts

   • Go to the Payments section in the left menu and select Documents & Contracts.

2. Open Settings

   • Click the Settings button (gear icon) at the top-right corner.

3. Select Document Settings

   • Choose Document Settings from the sidebar.

4. Toggle on “Redirect to a Custom URL”

   • Enable this setting for all documents by flipping the switch.
   • Enter your desired URL (e.g., https://example.com).
   • Decide if the page should open in the Existing Tab or a New Tab.

5. Save Your Changes

   • Click Save to apply the changes.

Note: Global settings will not override a custom URL set directly on a specific document or template.

Setting Up a Custom URL for Each Document

Create or Edit a Document

• In Documents & Contracts, open an existing document or click + New to create one.

Document Settings

• At the top, click Settings and then Document Settings.

Enable Redirect & Enter URL

• Turn on Enable redirection to custom URL.
• Enter the URL you wish to redirect to.
• Choose whether it should open in the same tab or a new tab.

Save Your Document

• Click Save or Send as needed.

Redirection After Payment

If your document includes a payment option, the same redirect settings apply post-payment:

• Global Setting: Automatically redirects customers after payment if enabled.
• Document-Level Setting: Takes priority if a specific URL is set for that document.

Troubleshooting & Tips

• Test Before Sending: Use the Preview option in Documents to ensure the redirect works as intended.
• Override Logic: Document-specific redirects will override global redirects. Disable the document-level setting if you prefer to use the global redirect only.
